The Society of Children's Friends Special Education and Treatment Centre

The Society of Children's Friends Special Education and Treatment Centre "Helenów" specialises in therapy for children with Central Nervous System dysfunctions, also with cerebral palsy. Children who come here receive a thorough medical care of a paediatrician, nurses, doctor specializing in therapy of children and adolescents and a doctor specializing in children neurology. Every child is examined by a multidisciplinary team, consisting of doctors, a psychologist, a speech therapist and a counsellor. After a child is diagnosed our specialists formulate an individual plan. The children attend individual meetings with a psychologist, speech therapist and a counsellor. Children receive individual physical therapy, hydrotherapy, hipotherapy, sensory integration therapy.

To ensure the highest quality of the treatment and care for the children our specialists constantly improve their qualifications. The Centre exchanges their experiences with other scientific facilities in Poland, Germany and USA.
The Centre cooperates with the Society of Children's Friends Teachers' College and other universities.
